Abstract
METODO DE ESFEROIDIZACION DE METALES FERREOS BAJO ATMOSFERAS CONTROLADAS. SE CARACTERIZA POR UNA COMBINACION DE CALENTAMIENTOS Y ENFRIAMIENTOS PARA PRODUCIR UNA MICROESTRUCTURA EN EL ARTICULO FERREO TRATADO, QUE MUESTRA UNA FORMA DE CARBURO REDONDEADA O GLOBULAR. EL PROCESO TIENE LUGAR BAJO UNA ATMOSFERA CONTROLADA FORMADA POR UNA MEZCLA DE 0,5 AL 10 POR 100, MOLAR DE METANOL Y EL RESTO DE NITROGENO, PARA IMPEDIR LA SEPARACION DE CARBONO EN LA SUPERFICIE DE LOS ARTICULOS. LA MEZCLA GASEOSA SE DESCOMPONE PARA PRODUCIR HIDROGENO Y MONOXIDO DE CARBONO. EL HIDROGENO ACTUA COMO AGENTE REDUCTOR PARA IMPEDIR LA OXIDACION DE LA SUPERFICIE, Y PARA ARRASTRAR EL AIRE QUE PUEDA PENETRAR EN EL HORNO. EL MONOXIDO DE CARBONO EVITA EL AGOTAMIENTO EN CARBONO DE LA SUPERFICIE METALICA. LA MEZCLA DE METANOL Y NITROGENO VARIA CON LA TEMPERATURA DE OPERACION, LA COMPOSICION DEL METAL FERREO, LA CONFIGURACION DEL HORNO Y SIMILARES. PARA CONTROLAR LA ATMOSFERA, SE AUMENTA O DISMINUYE LA CANTIDAD DE METANOL ENFUNCION DE LA PERDIDA O EXCESO DE CARBONO.
