CONSISTE EN LA OXIDACION DE 2-METILTIO-PIRIMIDINA, POR TRATAMIENTO CON CLORO GASEOSO, EN MEDIO ACUOSO A TEMPERATURA LIGERAMENTE INFERIOR A 0 GC, HASTA EL FINAL DE LA REACCION. SE AJUSTA EL PH A 8 CON UN ALCALI APROPIADO Y SE EXTRAE CON UN DISOLVENTE CLORADO QUE, DESPUES DE SECARLO CON NA2SO4, SE SEPARA POR DISTILACION. EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO SE MEZCLA CON UNA CANTIDAD ESTEQUIOMETRICA DE ISOPROPILAMINA Y SE SOMETE A REFLUJO HASTA QUE LA RACCION SE COMPLETA. SE AJUSTA A PH 9 Y SE SEPARA EL DISOLVENTE COMO ANTERIORMENTE. T
