Abstract

El dispositivo de protección para roscas que están previstas en el extremo de un tubo está configurado sustancialmente en forma de un casquillo o una caperuza (10) que en el caso de la protección de roscas exteriores presenta en superficies parciales sobresalientes hacia adentro unos tramos de rosca (16) que se pueden atornillar con la rosca que se ha de proteger. En caso de que deban protegerse roscas interiores, el casquillo de protección (19) está provisto de salientes (22) dirigidos hacia afuera, sobre los cuales están configurados unos tramos de rosca (23).Los tramos de rosca configurados sobre superficies parciales del dispositivo de protección se han producido mediante estampación o impacto, siendo deformado el material del casquillo de protección contra una herramienta que presenta una rosca correspondiente al extremo de tubo que se ha de proteger. Debido a la deformación permanente de la envolvente del casquillo de protección o de la caperuza de protección se moldea sobre superficies parciales sobresalientes la rosca de la herramienta. ( Figura 3).
