Abstract

1. Device for introducing objects into a packing case, open at least one end, and placed on a conveyor (16), the opening or openings which it forms being orientated transversally to the direction of transport comprising pusher devices (29, 31), designed to introduce each set of objects into the case, the said device being characterized by the fact that it comprises, on the side corresponding to at least one open end of the case, a tilting equipment comprising a support (20, 90), on which a group of objects (10) can be deposited in an upright position, according to an arrangement similar to that which would be adopted for them inside the case, and retaining means (22, 23, 92, 94, 98, 106, 108), designed to immobilize the objects on the support during the movement of the tilting equipment, this latter being caused to perform a reciprocal movement perpendicular to the transport direction F, and being tilted on each travel stroke by guiding means comprising a fixed cam (30) of a substantially sinusoidal profile (34) inclined downwards as an when it approaches the case (12) and being connected tangentially by its ends to two horizontal rectilinear portions (32, 36), the said cam being positioned horizontally and parallel to the axis of the tunnel defined by the open case, so that when the tilting equipment moves from its retracted position towards the case the portion with a sinusoidal profile causes the said equipment to pivot through 90 degrees, whereby the objects (10) are moved into a lying position and into the axis of the spaces which they will occupy in the case, respectively.
