Abstract

Un aparato de distribución de líquido para uso en torres de enfriamiento de líquido a contracorriente y que comprende: una boquilla de líquido a contracorriente y que comprende: una boquilla del tipo de turbulencia, de cono hueco, que incluye una entrada de líquido y una salida de líquido para crear una cortina en general tronco-cónica, hueca, de líquido que diverge hacia fuera desde dicha salida, estando constituida dicha cortina por partículas de líquido, cada una de las cuales se desplaza a lo largo de trayectorias sustancialmente rectilíneas, con la región hueca definida por dicha cortina inmediatamente debajo de dicha salida sin obstáculos para el libre paso de los objetos extraños a su través y relativamente libre de flujo de líquido a su través; y una estructura para dispersar dicha cortina de líquido, que incluye: una pluralidad de miembros de dispersión de líquido estacionarios, cada uno de los cuales presenta una superficie de contacto con el líquido; y medios que montan dichos miembros debajo de dicha salida, en relación de espaciados horizontalmente entre sí, presentando un anillo y en disposición tal que un número sustancial de dichas partículas de líquido hagan contacto con dichas superficies de contacto con el líquido, habiendo una región abierta, sin obstáculos, debajo de dicha salida de la boquilla y circunscrita para cooperación por dichos miembros, que tiene un área mayor que el área de dicha salida de la boquilla, siendo medidas las dos citadas áreas transversalmente al eje geométrico longitudinal de dicha cortina tronco-cónica, estando en comunicación la región hueca definida por dicha cortina con dicha región definida por el miembro para permitir paso sin obstáculo de dichos objetos extraños desde dicha salida de la boquilla, a través de dichas regiones comunicadas, y fuera desde dicho conjunto sin interferencia sustancial con este último; estando configurada cada una de dichas superficies de contacto con el líquido de tal modo que las trayectorias de desplazamiento de las partículas líquidas que hacen contacto con una superficie respectiva estén dispuestas angularmente con relación a la misma.
