Abstract

Procedimiento y aparato para trefilar alambre, que comprende tirar del alambre a través de un orificio calibrador y enfriar el alambre trefilado, procedimiento caracterizado porque se genera la tensión de estiramiento, confinando el alambre de una garganta sin fin de una rueda rotatoria de trefilar en un marco de menos de 360º, poniéndose directamente en contacto el alambre entre el orificio y la rueda con un flujo de refrigerante líquido y manteniendo el alambre en contacto con el refrigerante líquido mientras se encuentra en la garganta.
