Abstract
Aparato para cortar fibras en longitudes deseadas, que incluye un cilindro cortador giratorio provisto de una pluralidad de cuchillas de corte separadas alrededor de su periferia, y unos medios para suministrar fibras a las cuchillas de corte con una orientación sustancialmente uniforme en ángulo rectos respecto al eje longitudinal del cilindro, estando dicho aparato caracterizados porque el cilindro cortador está dividido en el sentido longitudinal en por lo menos dos porciones, estando las cuchillas de corte de una de estas porciones separadas de manera sustancialmente uniforme las unas de las otras con una distancia inferior a la distancia de separación sustancialmente uniforme que existe entre las cuchillas de corte situadas en otra porción, con lo cual las fibras suministradas a la porción mencionada en primer lugar se cortan con una longitud inferior a la de las fibras que se suministran a la otra porción.
