Abstract
Se describen nuevos ácidos benzopiran-4-carboxílicos, ácidos benzotiopiran-4-carboxílicos y derivados de los mismos, sustituidos con halógenos, útiles como inhibidores de la aldosa- reductasa y como agentes terapéuticos para el tratamiento de las complicaciones diabéticas crónicas. Entre los compuestos específicos descritos se encuentran el ácido-6-fenil-8-cloro- 3,4-dihidro-2h,1-benzopiran-4-carboxílico, ácido 6,7-dicloro.3,4-dihidrobenzotiopiran-4- carboxílico, ácido 6-cloro-8-metil-3,4-dihidrobenzotiopiran-4-carboxílico, ácido 6,8-dicloro- 3,4-dihidro-2H-1,benzopiran-4-carboxílico, ácido 6-flúor-3,4-dihidro-2H-1-benzopiran-4- carboxílico, ácido 6-cloro-3,4-dihidro-2H-1-beenzopiran-4-carboxílico, ácido 6-cloro 3,4- dihidro-2H-nafto[1,2-b]piran-4-carboxílico, ácido 6-cloro -3,4-dihidro-2H-1-benzotiopiran-4- carboxílico y ácido 6-cloro-3,4-dihidro-2H-1-benzopiran-4-acético. También se describen composiciones farmacéuticas que contienen los nuevos compuestos y un método de utilización de losnuevos compuestos para el tratamiento de las complicaciones diabéticas crónicas.
