Abstract

The electric toaster has a housing with a hole in for the bread which is placed on a support inside the housing. The bread-support is moved by means of a lever from an upper position near the opening, to a lowered position where it is held by a locking catch. An adjustable comprises a mechanism with release pin. An adjustable cam is movably mounted on the lever, and has one part which comes into contact with a bearing surface on a rack bar which slides vertically in the housing. The operating part engages with a rotary pinion connected to the release pin.
