Abstract
Liq. soap compsn. is a single phase contg. (a) >=1K, NH4 or alkanolamine soap of a 8-22C fatty acid, and (b) a sulphonate of formula (I) RCO.X(CH2)nSO3- M+ (R = 12-18C alkyl X is O, NH, or NCH3 n = 1 or 2 M is Na, K, NH4 or alkanolamine). The wt. ratio (a):(b) is 300-1:1. Pref. (a) include mono-, di- and tri-ethanolamine soaps of 10-18C fatty acids, and they are pref. 5-30 wt.% of the compsn. Pref. (b) are oleyl Na acylisethionate and oleyl Na acylmethyltauride at 0.1-5 wt.%. Specifically as a shower gel, but also suitable for washing fabrics. By adding (I), highly viscous gels (up to 104 cps) can be made without problems of phase sepn.
