Abstract
Método y aparato para inducir la fotoexcitación isotópicamente selectiva de átomos al menos en una primera y segunda fases energéticas . Con la selectividad isotópica a resonancia precisa para las dos fases se facilita el cambio energético total realizado por las dos fases energéticas. En un sistema de separación de isótopos en el que se crea un ambiente de partículas de múltiples tipos de isótopos, se muestra la fotoexcitación isotópicamente selectiva a partir de radiación láser para producir una mejora grande en la eficiencia de excitación en la que la radiación se controla en el total de fotones múltiples para obtener resonancia precisa en la pluralidad de fases energéticas degeneradas. Incluso con la excitación multimodal, solamente se consigue resonancia precisa para átomos aislados, y se aplica un chirrido o barrido de frecuencia a una de las diversas frecuencias de excitación para asegurar la resonancia precisa al menos una vez para cada átomo. En el caso de excitación en transiciones múltiples desde energía baja múltiple mediante una transición superior generalmente común, el chirrido puede aplicarse a la radiación que produce la transición común a nivel superior sola.
