Abstract

UN procedimiento para la obtención de un producto de whitlockita que contiene dentro de la retícula cristalina del mismo aproximadamente 0,1 a 2,2% en peso de ión sulfato, comprendiendo dicho procedimiento hacer reaccionar ión calcio con ión fosfato en una relación molar comprendida dentro del intervalo aproximado de 1,2-1,5 a 1 en un medio acuoso a un pH de aproximadamente 10 a 12, para producir un precipitado gelatinoso de fosfato calcio que tiene una relación molar de calcio a fósforo en in intervalo aproximado de 1,50-1,53 a 1 , separar dicho precipitado gelatinoso de la solución, lavar dicho precipitado exento de sales solubles en agua, poner en suspensión homogénea el precipitado lavado en 1 a 3% (peso/peso) de sulfato de amonio acuosa en la cantidad de aproximadamente 10 a 20 ml por gramo de producto de whitlockta teóricamente esperado, separar el precipitado de la solución de sulfato amónico, secar dicho precipitado y calentar el precipitado secado a por lo menos 725ºC
