Abstract

The ventilator (18) operating with natural draught for a building roof (12) is of weather-resistant design and permits an effective air escape. The ventilator (18) has curved side walls (30), an opening (14) in the building roof (12) and outwardly pointing, upper lips (50) on the walls (24, 38) of the opening (14). A central weather-resistant protection element (32) lying above the opening (14) has upwardly diverging walls (46, 48), the outer edges of which are provided with end sections (52). Curved or bent air-guidance plates (64) are situated between the end sections (52) and the curved side walls (30).
