Abstract

Procedimiento y sistema para separar fibras de pasta de papel de contaminantes ligeros de densidades relativas menores, procedimiento caracterizado porque comprende las fases de: formar una suspensión acuosa bombeable en la cual los constituyentes consisten esencialmente en fibras de papel y uno o más contaminantes ligeros, por ejemplo cera y fragmentos de plástico, de tamaño y densidad relativas similares a las fibras de papel; suministrar la suspensión a un recipiente cilíndrico-cónico que tiene una lumbrera de entrada dispuesta tangencialmente adyacente a su base y que tiene lumbreras de salida en el vértice y la base; mantener el flujo de suministro a la lumbrera de entrada suficientemente elevado y con presión suficiente para desarrollar en el recipiente condiciones de fuerza centrífuga que produzcan separación vertical de la suspensión dentro del recipiente en una fracción interior que contiene la gran mayoría de las fibras de papel y una fracción interior que contiene la gran mayoríade los contaminantes ligeros, y para producir flujos de descarga de las fracciones exterior e interior a través de las lumbreras del vértice, y la base, respectivamente, teniendo las lumbreras del vértice y la base un área de flujo mayor que la lumbrera de entrada para proporcionar un área de flujo total de las lumbreras de salida prácticamente mayor que el de la lumbrera de entrada; y recuperar por separado los flujos de descarga.
