Abstract

Sistema de encendido para un motor de combustión interna, que comprende un transformador de encendido dotado de un devanado primario, medios conmutadores y un resistor de lastre en serie con el mismo a través de un suministro de energía, efectuando el cierre de los citados medios conmutadores la iniciación de un flujo de corriente en el devanado primario, cuyo flujo de corriente es interrumpido por la apertura de tales medios conmutadores, para crear un impulso productor de chispas de alto voltaje en el devanado secundario del transformador caracterizado por otros medios conmutadores conectados en paralelo con el resistor de lastre y medios detectores de corriente que controlan a los citados medios conmutadores adicionales de manera que éstos se abran siempre que la corriente a través del devanado primario exceda de un nivel predeterminado.
