Abstract
To increase the operating speed, a film web (2), provided with a recording coating, is fed to a cutting device (3) and is cut by means of the latter into a multiplicity of tapes (4). The tapes (4) are deflected and wound simultaneously at approximately the cutting speed into a multiplicity of tape cassettes (7) arranged next to and beneath one another. The tapes (4) are expediently directed in an alternating sequence into two working levels and fed to the tape cassettes (7) assigned to these working levels. The process is suitable in particular for magnetic-tape cassettes.
