Abstract
Un método de preparar ánodos para celdas electrolíticas, comprendiendo dichos ánodos un substrato de metal electro conductor que tiene sobre él un revestimiento de una espinela de óxido bi metálico, comprendiendo dicho método , en secuencia, las etapas de :limpiar dicho sustrato de metal electro conductor para retirar óxidos superficiales y sustancias contaminantes, caracterizado por aplicar al substrato de metal una mezcla de revestimiento de un compuesto de cobalto inorgánico oxidable, que puede descomponerse por calor, y un compuesto de metal M oxidable, que puede descomponerse por calor, seleccionándose dicho metal M de entre metales de los grupos IB , IIA y IIB, conteniendo dicha mezcla una relación molar de metal cobalto a metal M, basada en metal comprendida entre 29:1 y 2:1 , calentar el sustrato recubierto de este modo a una temperatura comprendida entre 200ºC y 450ºC durante un período de tiempo de 1,5 a 60 minutos, empleándose los tiempos de calentamiento más cortos con las temperaturas más altas a lo largo de dichos intervalos, con lo que se descompone dicha mezcla de compuesto de cobalto y compuesto de metal M para formar una espinela de óxido bimetálico de la fórmula MxCo3-xO4, en donde el valor de x está comprendido entre 0,1 y 1,0; enfriar el sustrato revestido con la espinela de óxido bimetálico así formada, repetir una pluralidad de veces las etapas de aplicar la mezcla de revestimiento, calentar el sustrato así revestido y enfriar el sustrato revestido con la espinela de óxido bi metálico, y llevar a cabo un calentamiento final del substrato revestido con la espinela de óxido bimetálico a una temperatura comprendida entre 350ºC y 450ºC durante 0,5a 2,0 horas.
