Abstract
Mejoras introducidas en un procedimiento para revestir vidrio con un recubrimiento contentivo de silicio, comprendiendo dicho procedimiento: hacer pasar el vidrio por una estación de revestimiento mientras la temperatura del vidrio es de por lo menos 400ºC, y liberar el gas contentivo de silano junto a la superficie del vidrio a una presión sensiblemente constante, a través de tal superficie del vidrio y bajo condiciones no oxidantes, de modo que la pirólisis del silano deposite un recubrimiento contentivo de silicio sobre la superficie del vidrio, caracterizadas dichas mejoras porque, para impartir una resistencia predeterminada a los alcalis, al recubrimiento contentivo de silicio, el gas contentivo de silano incluye una proporción de un compuesto gaseoso donante de electrones que confiere dicha resistencia a los alcalis.
