Abstract

The wire collection system has an adaptor made of a soft material closely fitting the end of the patients penis so that none of the escaping urine is spilled. The adaptor (10) is connected via a conical section (15b) to a wide bore flexible tube (15a) which can accommodate all the movements made by the patient in walking about. The flexible tube is made of very thin section material. At its lower end (21) it is connected to the neck (22) of the container (23) for the urine. Straps (25, 26) pass round the patients leg and hold the top and bottom ends of the containers. There is a valve (27, 28) at the bottom of the container to allow drainage when required.
