Abstract

Un método para tratar una corriente gaseosa que contiene hidrocarburo halogenado de C2-C4, seleccionándose dicho hidrocarburo halogenado de grupo constituido por hidrocarburos clorados y bromados, que comprende poner en contacto la corriente gaseosa con una cantidad oxidante de un gas que contiene oxígeno en presencia de un catalizador de óxido de níquel hidratado a temperaturas comprendidas dentro del intervalo que va desde 20ºC a 500ºC durante un tiempo suficiente para reducir dicho contenido de hidrocarburo halogenado de la corriente de gas, siendo dicha temperatura tal que inhiba la pérdida de la actividad catalítica inducida por el agua.
