Abstract
A pressure actuated dispensing device, to deliver a fluid product into a compressed gaseous carrier, characterized by a double cylinder pump including a chamber of variable annular volume and a central hollow stem plunger disposed in axial relation to said chamber; a centrally arranged control valve to control communication with a reservoir for said product; in that when movement takes place between the neutral and compressed positions of said distributor or dispenser, said variable volume chamber contracts and expands for the admission and compression of carrier gas, and said hollow-stem piston, in synchronism with operation of said variable volume chamber, closes and releases said control valve; including said cylinder pump bends a centrally arranged mixing chamber, having first and second normally closed inlets, the first communicating, when open, with said variable volume chamber, and communicating the second, when open, with said hollow stem, the inlets being constructed to open in response to a preselected pressure to mix said fluid product with said carrier vehicle consisting of compressed gas; and a spray nozzle connected to said mixing chamber to exhaust the product and carrier vehicle mixture from said mixing chamber, in the form of a spray spray.
