Abstract
A procedure for the preparation of a new theophyllinyl derivative of formula (I): ** (See formula) ** where R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; n is an integer from 1 to 4 and "acyl" is a hicotinoyl group, 3-methylpyrazol-5-carboyl, 3-methylisoxazolyl-5-carboyl, 5-n-butylpyridin-2-carboyl, 2- (4-chlorophenoxy) -2-methylpropionyl, 2-acetoxybenzoyl or theophyllinyl-7-acetyl; whose procedure consists of reacting a compound (III): ** (See formula) ** with a compound of formula (IV): HO-acyl or an acylating derivative thereof, where R, n and "acyl" are as defined in relation to formula (I) and X is a hydroxyl group or an easily displaceable group.
