Abstract
A procedure for the preparation of a zeolite, called zeolite KSO7, characterized in that the starting material is an aqueous mixture containing one or more compounds of sodium, aluminum, silicon and metals of Group VIII of the Periodic System of the Elements, respectively, the latter compounds having the general formula [M (X) a (Y) b] nb where M is a Group VIII metal, X is NH3 or an amine, Y is a halogen, n is the valence of the metal M, ranging from 1 to 6, a = 2-6, b = 0.5, and n-b> +1; Because the starting aqueous mixture has the following composition, expressed in moles of oxides: 2 to 10 Na2O. Al2O3; 8 to 20 SiO2 0.01 to 2.5 MOn/2; 100 to 450 H2O; because the aqueous mixture is kept at a temperature between 70ºC and 160ºC until the zeolite has formed; and because the zeolite obtained is subsequently isolated from the mother liquor.
