Improvements in the manufacture of flexible polyurethane foams from: polyether polyols, hydroxylated and/or amine rectifiers, organic polyisocyanates, catalysts and expansion agents, characterized in that the polyether polyols are constituted by: a) a polyether polyol or a mixture of polyethers-polyols of an equivalent weight of between 1,000 and 3,000 and of an average theoretical functionality that can range from 2 to 4, this polyester-polyol or this mixture of polyethers-polyols being prepared by polyaddition, on one or more polyhydroxy compounds, of propylene oxide and optionally of ethylene oxide, the ethylene oxide being able to represent up to 30% by weight of the fixed alkylene oxides; b) 0.1 to 15% by weight, relative to the polyether polyol described in a), of an auxiliary polyether polyol or of a mixture of auxiliary polyether polyols of an equivalent weight of between 1000 and 5000 and of a functionality theoretical average, which can range from 2 to 4, this auxiliary polyether polyol being prepared from this mixture of auxiliary polyether polyols by polyaddition on one or more polyhydroxy compounds, of ethylene oxide and of propylene oxide, consisting of 30 to 95% by weight of the alkylene oxides fixed in ethylene oxide.
