Abstract

A method of making flat glass comprising: (a) melting the glass; (b) conditioning the molten glass to prepare it for subsequent formation; (c) supplying the molten glass by a threshold member having an upwardly convex top surface over a molten metal bath; (d) cooling the supplied molten glass over the molten metal bath to form a dimensionally stable continuous sheet of glass; and (e) removing the continuous sheet of glass from the molten metal bath.
