Abstract
Improvements in tear closures for bottles, formed with a light metal sheet, comprising a circular upper partition surrounded by a cylindrical skirt ending in a lower free edge, a rounded joint portion connecting said upper wall and the skirt, a pair of weakened tear lines extending through said flap of the cap and through the top defining between them a tear strip, said tear strip including a solitary pulling member extending from the free edge of said skirt, a hermetic seal gasket fixed to said joint portion, whose improvements are characterized by providing the closure with stiffness conferring means formed in said upper partition (2).
