Abstract

A gynecological device intended to be placed on a finger, for breaking the amniotic membrane during obstetric operations, said device comprising: a member carried by a finger, intended to grip said finger, said member having a recessed part intended to be in contact with the end portion of said finger, said recessed portion having a pointed element secured thereto to facilitate rupture of said membrane, said member also having a raised protection portion adjacent to said recessed portion, normally intended to extend radially with respect to said finger beyond of said recessed part, so as to protect said pointed element, at least one of said parts being elastic, whereby the relative pressure between the pointed tip of the finger and said membrane, exposes said pointed element to allow the rupture of said element.
