Abstract
Procedure for the preparation of pink ceramic coloring bodies by calcination of mixtures of zirconium oxide, silicic acid, alkaline minerilizing agents, containing sodium fluoride, sodium chloride and alkali metal or ammonium nitrates, and compounds that form iron oxide, preferably iron sulfate di val ent heptahidratado, at temperatures of 700 to 1300ºC, characterized in that zirconium oxide obtained by thermal disaggregation of zirconium silicate is used, which either a) has been released from SiO2 to a residual content of 1 to 4% by weight, preferably 2.5% by weight; or b) it still has a SiO2 content of 25 to 35% by weight, preferably 30% by weight; using in the case a) mixtures in which the starting substances are present in the proportion: 1.0 mol of ZrO2 (SiO2 content: 1 to 4% by weight); 1.1 to 1.3 moles of SiO2; 0.3 to 0.4 mol divalent iron sulfate heptahydrate or iron oxide forming compounds; 1.0 to 1.1 moles of sodium fluoride; 0.3 to 0.4 mol of sodium chloride; 0.1 to 0.3 moles of alkali metal or ammonium nitrates; and using in case b) mixtures in which the starting substances are present in the proportion of 1.0 mol of ZrO2 (SiO2 content: 25 to 35% by weight); 0.2 to 0.3 mol divalent iron sulfate heptahydrate or iron oxide forming compounds; 0.5 to 0.7 mol of sodium fluoride; 0.1 to 0.2 mol of sodium chloride; 0.1 to 0.2 mol of alkali metal or ammonium nitrates.
