Abstract
A procedure to remove carbon dioxide and/or other acid gases from gaseous mixtures that contain them, using an absorbent solution that circulates in an absorption column, in which the solution is brought into intimate and direct contact with the gaseous mixture in order to purify it and remove carbon dioxide and/or other acid gases from it, and a regeneration column in which the solution is regenerated, expulsion of the carbon dioxide and/or other acid gases previously absorbed, by boiling by supplying heat from the outside, characterized in that the heat contained in the regenerated, hot and boiling solution, which comes out of the regeneration column, is used to extract a stream of steam from the solution itself, thereby removing part of the carbon dioxide and/or other acid gases still contained in the solution, passing the steam stream thus extracted to a lower temperature zone, p again roasting the solution thus cooled and regenerated to a large extent towards the absorption column completing the cycle.
