Un aparato calentador de agua y otros líquidos, constituido esencialmente por un depósito cerrado, recubierto de material aislante del calor y en el cual penetra el agua por la parte inferior y sale por la superior, que tiene alojado en él un hogar, también cerrado, cuyas paredes abovedadas de plancha metálica se hallan en contacto directo con el agua que se ha de calentar, estando este hogar provisto de un quemador de gas y de una chimenea de salida de los gases quemados que llegan a ella preferentemente después de recorrer en sentidos ascendente y descendente el interior del hogar, el cual se provee con tal objeto de un tabique de separación.
