Abstract

A venturi gas-scrubber extends into a casing 1 and discharges below a perforated plate 8 adapted in use to support a layer of scrubbing liquid supplied thereto by pipes 11 from liquid in the bottom of the casing. Scrubbed gas leaves at 14 and liquid from the plate 8 over-flows through an outlet 13. A heat exchange coil 16 may be provided as shown.
