Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of formula <FORM:1120337/C2/1> wherein R is an alkyl group having 3-5 carbon atoms and X is a hydrogen or fluorine atom, and their preparation by reaction of the corresponding 16a ,17a -diol with the appropriate alkanoyloxy-acetone. Pharmaceutical compositions.-The compounds of the invention have anti-inflammatory activity and may be used in ointments, creams, gels, tablets, and spirit solutions.
