Plug for containers, comprising: a body formed by a skirt apt to surround the mouth of the container and provided with means for its attachment to said container and by a base partition suitable for covering above said mouth and provided with a hole; and a cover joined by an articulation to said body, apt to be folded on the partition, and provided with a projection able to fit snugly into said opening, characterized in that the skirt has an upper edge projecting above said partition; because said partition has a first part, close to the articulation and a second part of extension substantially smaller than that of the previous one, said parts being separated by a transition section extending substantially in parallel to the articulation line, said orifice being in this second part; and in that said cover is apt to cover the entire partition, in which cover position the cover fits the skirt being flush with the upper edge thereof, said cover having at least one weakening line substantially parallel to the cover.
