Abstract

Motor vehicle bumper having an outer element (12) with bent-over ends (14) which has an inwardly opened, channel-shaped area (24). A reinforcement strip (30) which is attached to the longitudinal edges (16, 22) of the channel-shaped area (24) determines together with said area a box-shaped reinforcement structure (32) between the bent-over ends (14) of the outer element (12). The height of this reinforcement structure (32) is smaller than half the overall height of the bumper (10).
