Un procedimiento para la fabricación de derivados de 1,4-benzodiazepinas que comprende el hacer reaccionar una beta-oxima de 2-amino-benzofenona, de la fórmula general **(Fórmula)** en la que R representa hidrógeno, alkilo, alkenilo o aralkilo, R2 representa hidrógeno, alkilo, alcoxi, trifluoremetilo o halógeno, mientras el núcleo designado por I en insubstituido, monosubstituido con trifluormetilo o mono- o disubstituido con alkilo, alcoxi alkiltio hidroxialkiltio, halógeno, nitro, amino, alkilsulfinilo, alkilsulfonilo, hidroxi o acilamino, con un haluro de halógeno-acilo.
