Abstract

To solve the problem of providing a simple but readily and quickly manipulatable releasable connection between the boom 2 and mast 1 of a sailing surfboard, the boom is provided with a lug 4 carrying buttons 5 engageable in buttonholes 6 of a clamping strap 3 which is slung about the mast. The strap is tightened by the lug 4 engaging the mast as the boom 2 is swung downwardly to its operative position.
