Abstract

On a turning table 1, the sheets 2 which are to form each hoop 6 of the tank 8 are welded. At the exit from this table there is an impeller machine 4 which entrains the multiple sheet 2 towards that which is to be the base of the tank 8, where a series of guides or pulleys 5 establish, for the sheet 2, a circumferential trajectory which will give rise to the hoop 6 which is closed by means of a final vertical weld. The hoop, already formed, is raised with the assistance of a perimeter line of jacks (rams) 7, together with the part of the tank 8 previously formed, leaving a lower space for the forming of a further hoop on which the rest of the tank 8 descends, for perimeter welding thereof, the jacks then descending to the lower limit level in order to raise this new hoop with the rest of the tank.
