Abstract

It comprises an arm 5 which rotates about a point 6 fixed on the frame, provided at one end 9 with an orifice 7 adapted for the passage of a cord 8 and capable of adopting two end positions 5, 5', in the first 5 of which positions the cord-passage orifice is adjacent to the closure former 11 so that, when stapling takes place, the cord is also enclosed in the staple 10 and fastened to the sausage, whilst, in the second, end position 5' of the rotary arm, the cord-passage orifice is remote from the closure former.
