Abstract

Procedure for control by iontophoresis of the passage through membranes (biological, natural or synthetic) of active substances included in microemulsions. The active substance can be contained in the internal phase of the microemulsion, in the external phase, in the interphase or else simultaneously in two or three of the phases of the microemulsion. The iontophoresis uses direct (constant or pulsating) or alternating electric current. It can be applied for diagnostic, therapeutic or preventive purposes.
