Abstract

Novel lens which can be applied in solar-energy concentrators and the like, which consists of a large modulated lens, using the property of fluids to refract and concentrate the light when they are delimited by transparent, curved surfaces, the lens being configured by various transparent lens-shaped containers of suitable shape, dimensions and curvatures, which make it possible, together, to form a modulated lens with an appropriate focal distance which is suitable for sitting on a movable or stationary structure, which structure will be adjusted to the characteristics of the modulated lens that is thus formed, allowing its construction in large sizes without limitation of thickness and shape, starting from various lens-shaped containers 1 which are transparent and suitable for moulding, containing, inside them, a refracting fluid 4, which are rendered suitable for being assembled together 14.
