Abstract
Process for obtaining ceramic materials from iron- containing wastes from the hydrometallurgy of zinc. Comprises mixing the said wastes, as necessary, with a silicate material to encourage sintering; homogenizing and pressing the resulting mixture at a pressure in excess of 100 MPa in order to obtain rough parts, and sintering the parts at a temperature of between 1000- 1100 degree C with a rate of heating of less than 20 degree C/min.
