Compuesto polimérico para protección de la radiación solar y sus aplicaciones. La invención se refiere a un compuesto polimérico para la protección de la radiación solar y uso en agricultura y jardinería. El compuesto polimérico contiene un polímero transparente y un componente que absorbe o refleja la radiación infrarroja de onda corta (NIR), es decir, la región comprendida entre 0,78 y 2,5/{mi}m. Los filmes o láminas preparadas a partir de este compuesto polimérico reducen significativamente la transmisión de radiación NIR y presentan una elevada transmisión de la radiación fotosintéticamente activa (PAR), situada en el rango de 0,38 a 0,78 {mi}m. El absorbente o reflectante de la radiación NIR es un dióxido de titanio cuyo tamaño de partícula es clave para proporcionar la función deseada.Polymeric compound for protection from solar radiation and its applications.
