Abstract

The system object of the invention measures the electrical impedance of the chest, so that the loss of electrical signal from the conventional electrocardiogram can be estimated. It consists of the electrodes to be placed in the patient's body (1); electronic circuit to simulate a voltage controlled impedance (2); variable gain instrumentation amplifier and high input impedance (3); impedance adjustment system, QRS signal detection and peak measurement (4); averaging system of the desired number of measures (5); display for the measurement display (6) and a control panel (7) that allows you to select the measurement conditions. This invention is based on considering the heart as a signal generator and simulating with (2) an impedance equivalent to that of the tissues interposed between it and the scanning electrode, recognizable because the amplitude of the ECG signal is halved.
