Abstract
An electric arc welding method on iron workpieces, on which welding metal is melted causing a flame arc to impinge on the current-carrying end of a welding wire intended for a protective gas, characterized in that the welding operation is carried out on flanged iron parts, using an alloy iron welding wire with at least 0.3% by weight of manganese and at least 0.3% by weight. Weight of a strongly reducing metal, making use in addition of a protective gas composed entirely of carbon dioxide with the exception of impurities, if any.
