Abstract

The doll dribble system is primarily made up of a small diameter, flexible tube, which is set in one leg and passes into the body of the doll connecting to another, larger diameter, flexible tube, which is, in turn, connected to a tube that ends in the mouth. In the intersection between the leg and the body there is a valve that prevents air moving from the leg to the body, when the leg is squeezed or filled with water via the tubes in the mouth and then pressure is released, the leg resumes it's original shape because of the air coming from the mouth to the leg. Pressure on the leg containing water pushes the water up the tube and reaches the connection to the other flexible tube where it mixes with air in the doll's body, thus producing bubbles that come out of the mouth and simulate dribble in the doll.
