Abstract
Cement consists of 80-90 wt.% Portland clinker relatively low in 'alita', 4-7% setting regulator, and 2-6% alkaline activator. Upto 35 wt.% of clinker may be substd. with fly ash, steel-making slag or pozzolana. The process consists of (a) making a raw flour from 75-85 wt.% limestone and 25-15% clay (b) calcining at 1350-1400 deg.C to obtain Portland clinker (c) mixing with setting regulator, activator and other opt. ingredients.
