Abstract

Disposable impregnated wipe has a woven hydrophilic material with a maximum absorption capacity for water of 20% and it is impregnated with an aq. compsn. not exceeding 50%. The soln. is such that it provides an acid pH in the soln. of between 2 and 5. It contains one water-miscible solvent and one mineral or organic aid and a small amt. of surfactant. - The solvent is pref. a 1-4C alcohol, a 2-8C glycol or glycol ethers or a volatile silicones. The acid is either acetic, citric, maleic, phosphoric and alkylsulphonic acid. The soln. can also contain disinfectant, perfume, colourants or preservatives.
