PROCESO PARA LA PREPARACION DE NUEVOS COMPUESTOS DE 2-GUANIDINOTIAZOL. ESTA DESTINADO A LA OBTENCION DE FAMOTIDINA. CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE (I) CON ACRILONITRILO, PARA FORMAR 3-(2-GUANIDINO-TIAZOL-4-IL-METILTIO)PROPIONITRILO QUE SE BOMINA CON EL REACTIVO (II) Y METANOL PARA OBTENER (III) (Z = METOXILO Y RO = HIDROGENO). ESTE COMPUESTO CON AGENTES SILILANTES, Y PARTICULARMENTE CON N-TRIMETILSILILSULFAMIDA, RINDE EL COMPUESTO (V) QUE CON METANOL FORMA FAMOTIDINA.
