Abstract

The device comprises evaporation honeycombs 4 with a set of water-retention grid conduits, separator honeycombs 11 which retain and drain the drops entrained by the air, and condensation honeycombs 13 with tubes via which cold water circulates and in which water vapour is condensed and drained. This device, which uses air to convert contaminated and evaporated water into purified and condensed water, is able to operate with air in open circuit with an adiabatic system with parallel flows and can also be used for the production of salt from brines.
