The object of the invention is to provide a jug whose lid folds down automatically when using the jug, i.e., when tilting it, so that it is much easier to handle, as you do not have to be mindful of the opening maneuver of said lid.

The invention's jug is specially designed to dispense oil while cooking, allowing the use of one hand in such maneuvers, although it could be applicable to any other type of liquid product.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In the practical application of the invention, it is common to use jugs as oil dispensers, equipped with a closing lid so that the oil is preserved in an optimal way.

The problem with these types of devices is that when cooking, and for example, oil needs to be added gradually while stirring the ingredients, this requires pouring the oil with only one hand. It is common to have to use both hands to remove the lid or cap of the oil dispenser, which forces you to momentarily put down the spoon or cooking utensil you are using with the other hand, with the consequent inconvenience that this entails.

Furthermore, another problem with these types of devices is that the flow of oil is not effectively cut off when the container is returned to a vertical position, often resulting in drips that dirty the external surface of the jug or container in question.

EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

The liquid dispensing jug proposed by the invention fully and satisfactorily solves the problem previously described in the two aspects discussed, including an automatic hinged lid, capable of opening smoothly when the bottle is tilted in a fully automatic way, and closing when it is in a vertical position, thanks to a counterweight system located inside the lid, which allows its use with one hand.

More specifically, the degree of opening is sensitive to the degree of inclination of the jug, so that a slight inclination of about 15° is enough for the lid to begin to lift smoothly.

The lid opens fully to its maximum opening (70°) when the jug is tilted horizontally.

This allows precise control of the flow of liquid being poured, without spilling or staining.

For this purpose, the head that carries the handle and the hinged lid includes a thin silicone pouring nozzle with an internal curved-convex configuration that allows you to cut off the excess drops to ensure that no liquid spills outside the jug.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

In view of the figures described, it can be observed how the pitcher of the invention is made up of a glass container (1), open at the top, onto whose upper neck a head (2) is screwed with an interposition of a silicone gasket (10), the head (2) being provided with a handle (3) for manual grip, and a fine silicone nozzle (9), with a curved convex internal configuration, which allows cutting off the excess drops to ensure that no liquid spills outside the pitcher.

The head (2) includes an additional hole (11) that can be sealed, like the nozzle (9), by means of a hinged cover (4) via a pivot shaft (5) linked to said head, the shaft passing through a side hole (5’) of the cover.
